Auktion & Markt at a glance
Auktion & Markt AG is a medium sized, owner-operated company. It does its core business in the marketing of used vehicles throughout Europe in Online and Live auctions. Every week we auction off up to 3,000 used vehicles, exclusively to motor vehicle dealers: passenger vehicles, utility vehicles, and motorcycles. These vehicles are supplied to the auctions by large German manufacturers, brand name outlets, banks, leasing companies, and car rental and fleet management companies.
Live auctions take place on a daily basis in one of our eight auction centres in Germany. With our online auctions at Autobid.de and Netlive – the combination of Online and Live auctions – we reach up to 25,000 buyers in 20 languages. We offer a full range of services for the online auctions at Autobid.de / PREMIUM. Here, we arrange for the expert report of the vehicle, auction off the vehicle on the auction platform, and when sold, we send the invoice to the buyer. The proceeds of the sale are transferred by us directly to supplier’s account. If desired, we provide the buyer with information about forwarders for economical transport.

• We offer the best quality, ensure quick liquidity, and market the vehicles promptly and in an uncomplicated way.
• Suppliers can participate in our auctions even with a small number of vehicles to be sold.
In 2009 Auktion & Markt AG marketed 63,700 vehicles, 40,000 of them through Autobid.de. Auktion & Markt AG currently employs 250 people across Europe.
Auktion & Markt AG’s story
1988 Karl Rolf Muth founds the company, Auktion & Markt. Initially, used vehicles are offered for sale in Live auctions to dealers and private individuals.
Since 2000 Auktion & Markt holds vehicle auctions exclusively for registered vehicle dealers; private buyers do not have access anymore.
2001 Auktion & Markt establishes its first own auction centres in Germany and opens offices abroad.
2003 An online auction platform for used vehicles serving entire Europe is launched: Autobid.de.
2004 Auktion & Markt assumes the legal status of a corporation. The CEO since that time has been the founder and owner, Karl Rolf Muth.
2005 The Spanish subsidiary Autobid.de S.L. is formed, which runs its own customer service office in Spain.
2007 The first Netlive auctions take place. In these auctions, dealers can participate both live on location as well as in the comfort of their own office.
2008 Offices are opened in Luxemburg, Romania and Poland.
2009 The Auction Centre Baltic States is opened in Riga.
2010 Autobid.de is available in 20 languages.
